VI CODE AND LAWS

All beneficiaries under the Economic Development Authority and Hotel Development Act of 2011 shall contribute the sum of $2,500 annually for the creation, development, management, and maintenance of a database designed to recruit Virgin Islandersliving abroad.
Refer to Section 5, A-C, applicable to all participants in the beneficiary program.

 All entities are required to notify VIDOL, of its intent to fill an existing position, now vacant or soon to become vacant, or a new previously unfilled position.

Every employer shall secure the payment of compensation under this chapter by insuring with the Government Insurance Fund.

This law ensures the protection of resident workers.

 

The EDA was created to be in the public interest by advancing the growth, development and/or diversification of the economy of the Territory of the Virgin Islands.

The purpose of the Program is to encourage and promote the Development of hotel facilities in the Virgin Islands.
